A TASTE OF TROMPE L'OEIL
Wednesdays, 9-12, $140/4 consecutive classes, January 4-February 22
Students will learn the technique of painting from life in a traditional manner and with a contemporary sensibility. Color, shading, cast shadow, modeling and perspective are some of the basics that are covered.
Students supply subject matter in the form of delicious treats and foods that are rich in color, texture and form that translate well into the 2nd dimension. The intent is to create realistic looking paintings of food that look good enough to pick up and pop into your mouth. Students may be very creative regarding the choice of painting surface such as cabinet doors, small boxes, containers, etc. For a materials list click here
