HongNian Zhang studied at the China Central Art Institute and at City College in New York where he earned his degree. He has participated in numerous exhibitions internationally including those at the Harvard University Gallery and The Museum of Modern Art, Santa Ana CA. His solo exhibitions include those at Grand Central Gallery, New York City; China House of Art, New York City; Plymouth Plantation, Plymouth MA; Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater MA and Imavision Gallery, Taipei, Taiwan. Winning many awards and prizes, his work is in the collections of the Chinese Central Art Museum, corporations and individuals world wide. He has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Art News and others. His unique approach is presented in The Yin-Yang of Painting by Zhang and Woolley, Watson Guptill.
