Eric Angeloch is a third generation Woodstock artist. His maternal grandparents were both recognized illustrators, his mother is an accomplished painter and printmaker, and his father, in addition to his own unique ouvre, is co-founder of the Woodstock School of Art. Eric studied at the Art Student's League of New York on full scholarship under Robert Beverly Hale, the anatomy authority, among others, and at the Woodstock School of Art where he is currently an Instructor of Painting, Drawing and Composition. He has had several successful solo exhibitions, well received by critics, collectors and the public, and has been included in national juried and invitational shows, winning numerous awards and prizes. He is represented by Loretta Goodwin Gallery, Birmingham AL; Munson Gallery, Chatham MA; Gallery Wright, Wilmington VT, and others.

His technique in producing landscapes is demanding and unique. Generally working in a small format, he applies oils in multiple layers allowing each to dry before proceeding to the next. A studio painter at heart, Angeloch worked en plein air for nearly twenty years before that approach became impractical. Today, having great disdain for photographic or other reference material, he relies on his powers of observation and memory alone.

His still life work, on the other hand, is painted exclusively from life.
